Demolin Brulard Barthelemy (DBB) and Rotthege Wassermann & Partner (RWP) hosted the 5th M&A International Lawyers Conference in Brussels. The conference took place at the hotel Le Meridien from September 5 to 7 and was chaired by Mr. Andreas Lachmann. The event featured conferences by several international experts among which we could count Mr. Leonard Hawkes of the firm DBB who made a review of Member States measures affecting cross-border mergers by the EC Commission & the European Court of Justice. Mr. Mark Blunden of the firm Boyes Turner in the UK also made a presentation on IT related matters (due diligence, electronic dataroom etc.) and business continuity plans. 

The conference featured a social program including a Walking tour of "Brussels inattendu", a dinner at restaurant "Scheltema" on Friday night which was sponsored in part by Lawrope, a dinner at restaurant "La Maison du Cygne" on Saturday and chocolate tasting presented by Frédéric Blondeel at his chocolaterie Place Sainte Catherine.

The event which brings together a higher number of participants each year resulted once again a great success. The different presentations are available on RWP website at www.rwp.de.
