Rijppaert & Peeters Advocaten at Oosterhout (the Netherlands) organised on October 1, an in-house seminar on labour law for their major clients.
During this seminar, three members of the Labour law professional division, Dick Schreuder, Sven Heeren and Elke Thijssen, evaluated different current developments of Dutch labour law including: the underperforming employee, the sick employee, unilateral modification of labour agreements, hot topics of dismissal law, liability of the employer in case of accidents, political developments in the new dismissal law, the ins and outs of a transfer in company, the competition and relation condition and the dismissal with immediate effect.
In addition to an overview of the latest developments in legislation, law and literature of labour law, the participants were also given some practical "tips and tricks" using vivid examples. In short, the event resulted a fast, interactive and informal way for clients of Rijppaert & Peeters Advocaten to update their knowledge of labour law.
Due to great success of this initiative, the firm intends to repeat the experience by organizing other seminars in the near future.
