 | | On February 3, 2009, Dr. Robertson Emerenciano, as a Senior Partner of the Law firm Emerenciano, Baggio and Associates, attended a meeting with the Minister of Development Miguel Jorge, to discuss the implementation of Export Processing Zones - EPZs in the country.
At the meeting (arranged by the Brazilian Association of Export Processing Zones – ABRAZPE) were present representative of the States interested in implementing EPZs in their territories, presidents of companies in charge of the management of EPZs already established and representatives of large companies, such as WTorre and LLX, besides an international auditing firm.
The central focuses of the meeting were to inform the Minister of the current status of the key projects in progress and the urgency to regulate the EPZs Law, in order that such projects can be effectively initiated.
